TriggerScan Background:Firearms experts generally agree, that trigger quality is most important for precision shooting. In order to quantify how good a trigger is, many professionals are still using dead weights and spring scales - technology more than 100 years old. In many cases, trigger quality is simply judged by subjective feelings of the examiner. By modern standards, none of these methods provide sufficient information on how good a trigger really is.
TriggerScan is a computer controlled, motorized instrument, specifically designed to test trigger mechanisms of firearms. This patented technology sets a new standard in trigger quality evaluation. The system provides precise and repeatable evidence of how good a trigger is.

TriggerScan system can perform three distinct tests:
1) Test of triggers 2) Lock time measurement 3) Test of compression springs
During a trigger test, the trigger is automatically compressed and its characteristics are graphically displayed on a chart force versus travel. This chart reveals all stages of the trigger movement, and its smoothness. Certain key parameters are automatically evaluated by the software: Peak force, Travel to actuate, Initial take-up, Overtravel, and Energy to actuate. Lock time is measured simultaneously with the trigger test.

During a spring test, the coil spring is compressed by predefined distance and its stored energy and stiffness are automatically evaluated by the software.
